Age categories
1 age category: up to 6 years
2 age category: from 6 years to 8 years
3 age category: from 9 years to 12 years

6 age category: from 20 years to 25 years
MIX age - mixed age groups
Mixed junior age group up to 12 years
Mixed senior age group from 13 years old
Mixed age group - no age restrictions
Competitors
Soloists, duets, trios, small groups from 4 to 6 people, large groups.
Level 1 - amateur studios and schools
Level 2 - exemplary, folk, state groups and schools
Level 3 - professional schools, collectives and schools.
Each level is evaluated and awarded separately.
Organizational requirements
• Organizations or persons delegating participants bear the costs of their arrival to the venue of the competition and back, accommodation and meals for the entire period of the event.
• All participants must be insured for the duration of their travel and stay in Latvia.
• Teams must have an appropriate number of accompanying persons to ensure the safety of the participants.
• The organizers of the competition are not responsible for accidents and thefts on and off the concert venue.
• Participation in the competition is confirmed by an invitation sent by the organizer, based on applications received, lists of participants.
• Members of the team are responsible for the copyrights of the performed contest numbers.
• Applications are accepted only from teachers and school leaders. Organizational issues are resolved with the team leader and parents receive information from their team leader.
• During the competition number it is forbidden to throw props that may interfere with the performance of other participants in the competition. If something is left on the stage after the performance, then the participant/group must clean everything up so that the number is not disqualified.
• Approaching the jury during the competition and breaks is prohibited. All the results of the performance and questions from the jury can be found after the award ceremony.

• selection and matching of musical and choreographic material
• artistry, disclosure of the artistic image.
ATTENTION!
The organizing committee has the right to use and distribute (without paying a fee) audio and video recordings, printed and other products produced during the competition events and following its results.
Organizational requirements
• An application for participation in the competition, a phonogram, a photo and a short biography of the team must be sent in one letter via Wetransfer system before 1 October 2023 to email danceolympiad@gmail.com
• An application must contain exact information indicating the genre. The information on the number of participants contained in the application is treated as final.
• Phonograms are sent together with the application. Each phonogram must contain the name of the group, nomination, (first name, surname of the soloist) and the name of the dance, the dance begins with a dot or with a phonogram start..
